Hi Enrique, how can I help you? If you can let me know which city and property you are living in I'm sure we can get things sorted out. Email to: mainstreet (at) mainst (dot) biz and request that the email get forwarded to Michael. Thanks.

I move around a lot, and mainstreet is by far the worst rental company i've stayed with. Management is non-existent. I'm moving as soon as I'm done school and will never consider any main street apartment again.

The manager was professional and answered our phone calls promptly when we were making arrangements to move in, the place was clean when we took possession. In fact, we learned that the company, or this manager at least, typically holds apartments for two weeks after they become vacant for cleaning and repairs. Big thumbs up on that one. So we called six weeks before we wanted a place and got our application in early. The other good thing is that you can switch or upgrade apartments within the Mainstreet buildings without changing your lease or deposit (just higher rent if applicable), so if we still like the company when we are ready for a bigger place, we'll just request a transfer.
Neighbors seem sane and normal. Building is in good shape. We were shown the exact apartment that we moved into and are very happy with it. The rent is pretty good, we were paying less before but that was in a rough neighborhood; the fees for pets are reasonable but we haven't noticed anyone taking advantage with a giant dog or anything. It was great dealing with these guys because our manager is in charge of several buildings all nearby, so there was more than one spot available and we got to choose.
There are a very minor repairs that should probably be attended to. It does seem like the company will be characteristically slow, like any landlord, in dealing with those, but since they are noted on our move-in inspection sheet we're not too worried.
Overall, feeling pretty good about this place. Barring a major rent hike or repair failure, we'll probably stay awhile.

The amount of unprofessionalism that makes up this company is enough to shame every person out who's ever made a mistake in their life. I had to quit school for 2 months after completing the course 4 months in because I couldn't make it in I lived outside of the city and because "Mainstreet" decided to make me wait 3 weeks just to tell me "Oh just another hour, just another week" I finally gave up, now I have to start the course all over again, and AGAIN the same shit is happening. I'm sick of this! I hate you Mainstreet, and I hope all the people go somewhere else. This is ridiculous!

The building is run down, the interior is old and out of date. Closet doors don't stay on the tracks (and are never fixed), kitchen drawers are broken, and the floors are in rough shape. Needless to say, I came home to find that my rent (which is already too high for this dung-hole), has been bumped up to $950, and there are no mentions of renovations or maintenance, just "rising costs". I can move 6 blocks away to a safer neighborhood where there are no drug deals, hookers, homeless people living in the abandoned lot next door, or police car chases in my alley (I have photos of all) for the same price, in a renovated suite. So, guess what I'm doing? Oh, and management is awful, don't even get me started on how they ignore important and emergency situations.

We found several apartments with mainstreet that were cheaper then other companies and had to go off pictures when signing the lease. The pictures we were shown were nothing what we got. They said the place had been recently painted which is true it was but there was paint left ALL over the floors, the bath tub, anything white had the beige paint splattered on it. The paint job was shotty at best. They told us the suite was cleaned 24 hours prior to us moving in and it was definitely not. Maybe the floors were wiped down but the bath tub was paint splattered with grime and soap scum clearly on it. The culking had mold on it and there was rust ringing the drain. The blinds were completely covered in dirt (spent 2 hours cleaning them myself), and the cupbourds had wood shavings and dirt in them. I had to spend an entire day cleaning/sanitizing the place. Our place is supposed to come with a parking stall but our stall is backed inbetween the apartment building and 3 cars which we cant fit our truck into, no truck or suv would fit into the stall they gave us. We called and called for months about the parking and nothing was done, its pretty much fend for yourself parking if you can get a stall close to the building. We have called about various repairs including the laundry machines being down and nothing was done. We had to take our laundry else where which was a big hassel. Our building reeked so bad just going from the third floor to the second made you want to vommit. The outside of the building looked great but the inside is just terrible. We couldnt wait for our 6 month lease to be up so we could leave. Will NEVER go with mainstreet again. They are crooks and just out for peoples money. They have no respect or decency what so ever. We never once saw a landlord come into this place or fix anything here in the whole 6 months we lived there.

We own a house about a block away from their Hampton Court Apartments. IMO, The complex really brings our community down. The site is not kept up and the caretaker actually parks her beat-up van on the lawn by her basement suite. MoreWe own a house about a block away from their Hampton Court Apartments. That should tell you everything you need to know about this place.

We asked to transfer suites to one that had hardwood floors and they presented us the suite with dirt, broken flower pots and garbage all over the suite. They then told us to clean it up ourselves if we wanted the suite. We ended up cleaning it up and moving into the suite because the previous one we were in had not been renovated in over 20 years.
So upon moving into the suite, the rent went from $600 to $820 and then to $1020. I lived there for 2 years under Mainstreet management. Maintenence? Terrible. Since they allowed pets, there were urine stains all over the hallway carpets. Front door lock? Was broken for 3 whole months, meaning anyone could get into the building. The daily surprise? Homeless people sneaking in and sleeping in the hallways. And even when there was a residential manager living there, they did nothing. In fact, my father even got attacked by a homeless man in our building. Where is the security? How is anyone supposed to feel safe? What made us finally decide to vacate the damn building? We were showering in ice cold water for 2 weeks.
The best part of this whole situation? We handed in our 30 days notice of moving out into the 'tenant correspondence' box they had because at that point, there were no residential managers and it was impossible to even get into contact with a manager. They lost our notice and low and behold, we had to pay another months rent because THEY lost our move out notice.
This company is the worst. They hire incompetent people who do not listen to their clients.
A note to ANYONE who is contemplating moving into a Mainstreet property. The rent is only cheap temporarily. After your one year is up, the rent will jump at least $200 dollars. The management is full of stupid people with no patience or say in anything. These property managers cannot even get into contact with their own head office which is laughable.
DO NOT RENT FROM MAINSTREET!

We have hit minus 30 more than once since Oct!!!! Which I sent them an EMAIL (very legal way of MAKING A NOTICE IN WRITING, according to the LANDLORD TENANT ACT), and stated that people were leaving the back door open; well one suite has had their bedroom window open since I have known the suite.... Never closes it.... Yes if the pipes freeze guess who will be the cause. Sucks that they DO NOT care about their buildings! Aside from all the other illegal activity that they allow to go on! THUMBS DOWN!!!

Worst company I have ever rented from. Had to move once because of sewage back up into my shower and now hot water tank goes and instead of fixing it they are waiting until Monday probably because it is cheaper.

I rented from this company for a year and it was 11 months to long. Resident manager NEVER returned my phone calls. Anything that broke in my apartment I ended up having to fix myself because I got sick and tired of waiting MONTHS for anyone to do anything. They never shovel the sidewalks. I ended up having my mail service cut off for 4-5 months during the Christmas Season because they didn't remove any of the snow from the parking lots. Total and complete waste of money. RENTERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!
